Net-Zero Carbon Targets

According to the IPCC, the global building stock needs 80% to 90% lower emissions in 2050 to achieve a pathway consistent with a 1.5°C target. With many countries now having declared net-zero targets in response to the climate emergency, IES Consulting have the experience to investigate and interpret the impact of rising temperatures on building design - and how these rises can be mitigated - by employing future climate datasets in a physics-enabled simulation environment to see how various design choices can make a lasting impact and future-proof your buildings.

We can investigate right now the expected impact to building operation but also crucially the expectation on how building design strategy will need to adapt to meet net-zero carbon goals. With reliable modelled data we can provide confidence to project design teams on the energy and environmental strategies to minimise their risk. This strategy applies to both new buildings/sites looking to assure their future performance and planned refurbishments.
