Digital Twins for Next-Generation Building Management

This one-day online workshop introduces the IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) and provides a practical understanding of how to design, build, and maintain high-fidelity digital twins for real-world building operations. Participants will learn proven methodologies, best practices, and practical tips to avoid common modelling pitfalls and achieve highly accurate, decision-ready results.

Using the cutting-edge IESVE software, the workshop will cover how to model:

Buildings and operational performance
Energy systems and renewable assets
Building energy use and occupant thermal comfort

You’ll learn how to balance comfort with energy efficiency, run scenario and predictive analyses, and evaluate operational changes or retrofit strategies to deliver measurable energy savings and strong ROI. The session will also explore how digital twin technology aligns with local sustainability rating frameworks such as NABERS.
