This week, IES have been identified as a Key Innovator by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar in recognition of its iSCAN for industry 4.0 solution, developed under the EU Horizon 2020 funded project, STREAM-0D.

The Innovation Radar is an initiative of the European Commission which sets out to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation projects. Its goal is to allow every citizen, public official, professional and business person to discover the outputs of EU innovation funding and give them a chance to seek out world leading innovators.

The innovations selected to feature on the platform are decided based on information and data gathered by independent experts involved in reviewing ongoing projects funded by the EU, providing an impartial view regarding the innovations in the projects and their market potential.

The STREAM-0D project saw IES adapt its existing iSCAN platform to serve the specific needs of the industrial manufacturing sector. Designed to enable industry 4.0 solutions, iSCAN for STREAM-0D is capable of managing vast amounts of data from highly instrumentalised production lines down to 1 second of resolution. Sitting at the centre of the STREAM-0D project solution as its cloud database, it enables data management, analytics, and predictive control based on optimisation strategies developed by the STREAM-0D project partners.
