Education Estates® is the annual gathering of the education community in partnership with the Department for Education. With a focus on the funding, design, build, maintenance and management of schools, colleges and universities, the event features a 2-day multi-stream conference, an exhibition showcasing some of the most innovative solutions around and an awards dinner celebrating excellence in the sector.
We're pleased to announce that Michael Pollock, Consultancy Manager - HVAC Modelling at IES and Dean Drobot, Head of Energy & Utilities Management at the University of Edinburgh will be delivering a joint presentation as part of a session on Utilising Digital Technologies to Improve Construction, taking place on the Construction Stage between 12:15-13:15 on Tuesday 18th October.
Their presentation - 'Using Digital Technologies & Data Analytics to Improve the Operational Performance of Higher and Further Education Estates' - will demonstrate how emerging digital twin technologies, dynamic simulation modelling and data analytics approaches are being deployed as part of a “living lab” initiative to identify operational savings across the University estate. The session will present practical solutions which can be adopted by any estates team to reduce the performance gap, tackle declining performance in existing buildings, and support a cost-effective net-zero transition.
