IES Consulting Asia supported Cover Projects in creating a virtual racing track for the Legion of Races (LOR) Online League Season 2021.

The Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) project is a very unique project for IES. IES were brought on board to create a community model of a very facinating nature.

The GPSS project was all about IES creating a virtual racing circuit for the client, where in we were entrusted to create a replica or a digital representation of 35 iconic buildings that lined this virtual street circuit, basically a community modelling assignment. The iconic buildings were Ion Orchard, Tangs Marriot, Paragon Mall, 313 Somerset, Singtel Towers, Shaw House to name a few.

The circuit starts at the Ion Orchard building on Orchard Road, turning around Grange Road, passing through Somerset road, for a quick turn at Killiney Road, looping around Exeter Road and Devonshire Road, past Orchard Link Road, coming in at Orchard turn and orchard Boulevard finally to Paterson Road before coming back a full circle to complete the circuit back at Orchard Road.

The circuit is marked in red below.

This virtual circuit will be part of the Legion Of Races (LOR) Online League Season 2021 and will be live streamed on YouTube on the LOR Online League Season 2021 channel.

The Legion of Racers (LOR) is a Singapore lifestyle and entertainment brand which combines an esports SIM Racing League, a SIM Racing Academy and Event Management as part of their offerings.

The Legion of Racers combines the best in motorsport and the gaming world and brings together these enthusiasts to participate in a league and other offerings which then helps them identify the top talents in e-motorsports.

Apart from aiming to groom the sim racing and racing talents, LOR is committed to creating new pathways to motorsport by establishing e-racing as the new entry into the sport and the other components of the industry.

The main aim of the project was to give life to the street circuit, to give it character, to give context and to make the racer feel he is in Singapore driving down this beautiful street circuit.

To be able to achieve the results as per the clients expectations we had to work on numerous softwares like Blender, Photoshop, Asseto Corsa, 3D Max with the base work being done in SketchUp.

The IES Consulting team were happy to have risen to this challenge and delivered the project to the clients satisfaction within the given time limit.
