Generates an Excel file that displays internal surface condensation risk data, including the number of hours the internal surface temperature falls below the dewpoint temperature.
Condensation Risk Analysis for Internal Building Surfaces
This script will generate an Excel file that displays, space-by-space, relevant data regarding the risk of surface condensation on internal surfaces.
Scope:
- This script is meant to be used for surface condensation risk analysis at a high-level, i.e. 2D or 3D condensation analysis is not supported.
- Flags as true for a time step only if the surface temp. is below the dewpoint. Nearness to the dewpoint is not considered.
- The temperature for each surface is simulated as a single node and not in 2D or 3D.
Note: Once generated, the Excel sheet can be found in a folder called Surface Condensation Checks inside the project’s Content folder.
Installation Instructions:
- Download the script .zip file
- Extract the script file (.py) to a desired folder, such as C:\Downloaded_Scripts
- Open VEScripts within the VE
- Right-click within the white space region of the file list and click Add script folder
- Browse to the previously created folder and click OK
- The script is now available to select and run
