IES provides one full day hands-on software training course, focused on Title 24 Compliance Modeling for non-residential buildings. The course will include:
• Introduction, overview of IES-VE software tools and interfacing with CBECC-Com.
• Model geometry interoperability and ‘build from scratch’ model geometry.
• Building data, climate and building constructions modeling.
• Organization of building templates, room/zone thermal data, internal gains and profiles/schedules.
• HVAC zoning, air systems and fluids systems modeling.
• Generation of summary output reports and required compliance documentation.
• Understand the workflow for developing a 3-D model for Title 24 Compliance.
• Create & assign building constructions to a 3-D model for Title 24 Compliance.
• Zone a 3-D model, create and assign HVAC systems to the zones.
• Generate compliance reports for Title 24.

This course is approved for 7 LU for AIA CEU offered through IES. A sign-in sheet will be provided in the classroom for those who wish to receive AIA credit. IES will report attendance to AIA.
This class is for people who are already familiar with the 2016 Standards of Title 24. Attendees should understand basic inputs for modeling common building envelope details, electric lighting, and HVAC systems. The goal is that at the end of the training, attendees will have the basic skills needed to use the software for 2016 Title 24 compliance modeling of nonresidential buildings.
If laptops are not provided by the utilities, attendees will need to bring their own laptops with IES-VE installed and license keys requested/approved at least 1-2 days in advance of the training date. Requests can be submitted to email@example.com.
Reservations will be held 15 minutes following the start time. After this time your seat may be given to a waiting customer.
Intermediate Class: Content is appropriate for individuals who possess a fundamental understanding of the topic, and have familiarity with basic terminology and methodology of the subject matter. Attendees should have the capacity to participate in instructor-led exercises requiring synthesis and application of concepts.
