There are a number of ways to interact with other users of the VE and the IES Support team. The sites below are great places to gain knowledge and to find solutions to energy analysis issues, especially if your VE license does not grant you direct access to the support team (email and telephone).
We encourage our community to share knowledge and experiences with other users, and we take pride in how forthcoming some of our community members are when it comes to helping other less advanced users.
With over 13,000 registered users, the IES Forum has long been the platform for the VE community to interact with each other and the IES support team. This is the place to discuss all things VE, get and give advice to fellow users and share the latest projects you are working on. The forums are monitored daily by the support team who are always happy to interact with members.
The VE user group is a network of over 2,000 LinkedIn users across the world. Users are invited to join this group to share ideas and thoughts related to the Virtual Environment, energy analysis, green building, BIM, building operations, CFD, SketchUp, Revit and other related topics. As well as sharing experiences with other users, this group is also a good place to find out about jobs, learn about upcoming events and make professional contacts across the LinkedIn network.
You must have a LinkedIn account to access this group.
We encourage members of the IES user community to take advantage of the video resources available on the IES YouTube channel. Videos include VE software demos, tips and tricks, case studies, and recordings of our IES Faculty learning seminars that cover everything from BIM integration to building compliance. Subscribe to our channel to get notified when new video content is added.
