Following the success of the initial integration of IES TaP with BREEAM Projects for the BREEAM International New Construction 2016 scheme last year, the IES TaP team are delighted to announce this latest integration. It is the first of its kind for the BREEAM UK New Construction 2018 scheme, and will bring even greater efficiencies to BREEAM assessors.
“BREEAM UK New Construction 2018 is recognised by industry as a challenging standard that moves the game on for the design and construction of sustainable buildings. It’s great to see the IES TaP platform continuing to embrace BREEAM and align with our latest schemes, enabling project teams to achieve efficiencies in the assessment process and in turn realise best practice and value for clients that specify BREEAM certification.” Explained Charlotte Hardy, BREEAM UK New Construction Scheme Manager at BRE.
BREEAM Projects is the BRE's online system for assessors to complete the formal assessment report and submit to the BRE Quality Assurance team for certification. Using BREEAM Projects means assessors no longer need to submit the BREEAM Scoring and Reporting Excel spreadsheet as part of the submission.
IES TaP for BREEAM brings project management tools which enable the BREEAM assessor to track and manage the certification requirements for the project, as well as communicate with the project team effectively. The use of IES TaP makes sure timelines and responsibilities are met and significantly reduces the risk of teams missing the BREEAM target score.
IES TaP integration with BREEAM Projects
With this latest update, BREEAM assessors now have the flexibility to choose between completing BREEAM Scoring and Reporting Excel spreadsheet as part of the submission, or have IES TaP automatically complete the assessment report directly in BREEAM Projects, on a project-by-project basis. If using the BREEAM Projects integration, as the team complete their actions, IES TaP automatically updates the BREEAM projects assessment report in real time by synchronising credits, documents, and comments, ready for QA submission.
