Free Lunch-N-Learn in Edmonton "NECB2011 & Fast Loads Sizing with IESVE"

Edmonton,

We're pleased to be hosting a free Lunch-N-Learn event in Edmonton on December 20th.  At this event we will introduce our specially designed package for compliance with the NECB2011 Canadian building standard. This will include a detailed Supporting Guidance document taking you intuitively through all the steps required to adapt our existing navigators to demonstrate compliance with the NECB standard, as well as a Model template, complete with the necessary NECB data for your use.

Plus, we'll demonstrate our HVAC Loads Analysis & Sizing tools available in IESVE.

Move up to the best in loads analysis. From optimizing room and zone loads to detailed HVAC system and equipment sizing, the IES Virtual Environment offers the most practical, efficient, and accurate tools available.

Efficiently input 3D geometry, envelope, internal gains, and location for accurate loads calculations. Share reports, gain insights from in-depth results analysis, and iterate on building design. Transition seamlessly into detailed HVAC system sizing and modeling.

  • Generate accurate building, room, and system loads for building design engineering and HVAC equipment sizing using the ASHRAE Heat Balance Method
  • 3D modeling of the building provides powerful visualization for easy checking/editing geometry and accounts for heat transfer between adjacent spaces
  • Readily customizable templates speed the process of assigning relevant information—a quick and easy workflow that meets your daily needs while reducing potential for error
  • Solar shading, thermal mass, and self-shading of the building are taken into account to more accurately determine cooling loads for ‘right-sizing’ HVAC equipment
  • Standardized reports are easy to read and provide a range of useful engineering checks, including cfm/sf and sf/ton
  • Powerful analysis tools let you visualize detailed loads results and uncover opportunities for design optimization before and after defining the HVAC system.
