IES is currently looking for building simulation students keen to gain work experience. The role is fully paid and runs for a minimum of 3 months during June to September. This position will support our Consultants across a range of commercial and R&D projects using our simulation technology. The position is full time, working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What are we looking for?
Candidates will be working towards a qualification in the building services realm, such as Architectural Engineering or Building Services Engineering. We are looking for self-motivated students who are keen to increase their commercial experience. We require individuals who can work on their own initiative but also have the ability to work along with others as part of a team.
Experience of using building simulation software will be a distinct advantage, ideally the IES VE software but full training will be given to the right candidates. If you have experience with any of the following architectural CAD packages such as AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUP, ArchiCAD and Rhino you will be at an advantage in the selection process.
In return we offer the chance to gain valuable work experience with a fast moving company in an exciting and supportive work environment. You will be paid throughout the placement and receive a holiday entitlement. We also offer flexible start times to assist travel to and from work.
To apply, please send a covering letter and your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. Within your covering letter and CV please include details of any experience in using building simulation software including models examples if available. Our recruitment process will involve visiting our office in Glasgow to meet with two of our senior members of the consultancy team for a face-to-face interview and a short technical test.
Closing date 10th January 2020.
